Hello and welcome to the Law Offices of Peter D. Russo.

As an attorney for over 25 years, I have learned the importance of a strong working relationship with a client. Selecting an attorney is not a “one-size-fits-all” solution to your legal issues. Beside knowing the law, the relationship between a client and their attorney must be about understanding, compassion, and mutual respect. These factors build trust, and helps with the required patience legal actions often demand.

So why am I sharing this “non-legal” information with you? Because most people seek representation when an event in their life has rendered them vulnerable physically, financially, or both. If you are reading my bio, you are likely looking for representation, and the factors of understanding, compassion, and respect must all be strongly considered by you. Beside offering you zealous representation, these are the intangible qualities that will benefit both of us throughout the reality of the legal process.

The practice of law is not only about papers, books, rules, regulations, statutes, and laws, it’s about people. Allow me to share more about myself with you. If you are from New Jersey, you might be familiar with the Glen Ridge Country Club. No, I’m not a member, but I worked there as a golf caddy from high school, throughout college, and even while in law school. It taught me that you have to show up, do the work, regardless of the weather conditions, or how bad my assigned golfer played. While walking those greens, I learned that sometimes things aren’t pretty, but you stay to the end and see it through, no matter what the day brings.

While I was caddying during the day, at night, I was playing piano at restaurants, parties, and weddings. I learned to play piano by ear after playing “Silent Night” hundreds of times on our family organ. When it came time to choose a career, even though music is a big part of my life, the decision to practice law was the right one for me.

I welcome all legal inquiries, please note that my practice focuses on criminal defense, personal injury, worker’s compensation, DWI and traffic offenses, and I am now accepting cases under the Camp LeJeune Justice Act. Over the years, I have litigated hundreds of civil cases, including insurance claims, contract disputes, and consumer fraud.

Please note that you will not find me on social media because I enjoy knowing people in person. You might see a post or two pop up for a book I co-authored and my piano music CD. (See below for a bit more on those projects.) Here are some testimonials about my work if you would like to read more.

Thank you for reading about me and my practice. ~ Peter
